Emerging 100 Houston's mission is to provide young boys with opportunities to explore their future while transitioning into young adulthood. We pride ourselves on being fruitful partners to underprivileged communities. Emerging 100 strives to raise our boys into respectable, successful, and self-efficient young men through our many programs. #ProjectTux provides Emerging 100 Houston the opportunity to support a well deserved young man with a Tuxedo for his Senior Prom.

What is #ProjectTux?
#ProjectTux is a Essay Contest for Young Men who are Graduating Seniors in the Houston Metropolitan Area.
When is #ProjectTux?
Applications are available beginning March 1, 2018 and will end March 23, 2018.
What is the Prize?
Upon succesfull completion of their application, one young gentleman will be selected as the winner for the #ProjectTux essay contest (Prom 2018).
GUIDELINES + ELIGIBILITY
- Male Graduating Senior
- Attend High School in Houston Metropolitan Area
- Must have a 2.5 GPA or Higher
Essay Must have a minimum of 300 words and no more than 1000 words
Essay must be completed by student only
Plagiarized entries will be disqualified and any prize(s) awarded will be revoked
Limit one entry per student
Prizes will be given directly to the winner. No other arrangements will be made. No cash equivalent or prize substitution will be allowed. If the winner does not and/or is not able to attend their 2018 prom, all or a portion of the prize package may be forfeited, at the discretion of Emerging 100 Houston

Entry into this contest implies entrant and parental approval for permission to use the winner’s name, essay, and/or likeness in advertising/publicity unless prohibited by law. Entry also releases Emerging 100 Houston and other sponsors from any liability incurred arising out of participation in the 2018 #ProjectTux Essay Contest. Prior to the prize award, winners and their parents will be asked to sign a release and consent form. An essay not accompanied by a completed application will not be accepted for judging.
Essays will be judged on originality, content, creativity, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary. The essays will be judged by a panel of judges from Emerging 100 Houston. The composition of the panel may be changed at any time as to the number of participants without notice; the panel of judges has absolute discretion to choose not to award prizes where no eligible essays are received. All decisions shall be based on the majority of the panel reviewing essays.
The winners will be announced on the Emerging 100 Houston website and Instagram on April 6, 2018.
